Formerly known as National Healthcare Journal, the new name captures the significance of wider ageing issues, the importance of the spectrum of care and accommodation options for older people, from retirement living and community care through to the various forms of residential care.

The publication has undergone a thorough redesign, giving it a clearer, more readable look, and the content has been fine-tuned to deliver more analysis, a broader range of opinion and a continued educational focus.

As well as looking better, the journal’s new structure makes it easier to read. Some new sections have been added and others have received new names, while important regulars such as the Clinical features and the Report remain much the same. The new Upfront section brings together the major news and views that are relevant to the industry and at the other end of the magazine, you’ll find all the conference information you need along with popular pages like Speaking Personally and Pause for Thought, in the new-look Notebook section. The Dementia Supplement has been brought forward and now truly serves as a ‘supplement’ to the report.

All the practical and operational sections have been grouped together and now appear directly after the Cover Story and the in-depth, general features. Finance and law now live in the Management section which will also include sections on workplace training, human resources and general business operations. Our regular articles on systems and operation and the built environment will be in there too.

Carrying the official endorsement of the peak industry groups - Aged and Community Services Australia, Aged Care Association of Australia, Retirement Villages Association of Australia and Aged Care Queensland - no publication is more respected in this growth sector.
